Overview
Music Theory Decoder ("the App") is developed by CODE lunatics. We built this app to be a privacy-respecting tool that works completely offline and requires no account, no sign-up, and no connection to any server.
This Privacy Policy describes what data the App does and does not handle, and applies to both the iOS and Android versions of Music Theory Decoder.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your location or device location data
- Usage analytics, crash logs, or telemetry
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
- Microphone recordings or audio data
- Any information about how you use the App
How the App Stores Data Locally
The App may save your preferences — such as your last selected key, tool settings, or display options — locally on your device using standard system storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the App.
Microphone Access
The tuner feature uses your device's microphone to detect pitch. Audio is processed entirely on-device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. We cannot access your microphone without your explicit permission.
Third-Party Services
Music Theory Decoder does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not use services such as Google Analytics, Firebase, Meta Pixel, or similar tools.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Apple and Google may collect their own usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We have no control over or access to that data.
Children's Privacy
Music Theory Decoder is suitable for all ages. Because we do not collect any personal data, the App is safe for children to use. We do not knowingly collect any information from users of any age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App adds new features that affect data handling. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
